Gianvirgilio Cugini

Lawyer registered in the list of EU and AELS Lawyers of Canton Ticino, Switzerland and in the Bar Association of Brescia-Italy.

He is member of the Association of Fiduciary Chartered  Accountants of Canton Ticino.

Engaged in activities of legal and tax advice, he was one of the founders of Compagnia Fiduciaria Lombarda Spa (a fiduciary company with headquarters in Milan and Brescia) and of Helvetia Trust Company Sagl. He is also founder of the Fondazione Lombarda Affidamenti, institution created in order to promote the use of the Trust to assist weak people, which could be Trustee or Protector. 

After his studies, in 1992, he practiced at among the Firm Carter, Ledyard's & Milburn in New York, and among the Firm Becker, Melamed & Muffly, New York in 1996.

Being already a member of the IFA, International Fiscal Association, of the Technical International Committee of CERTTI (Bocconi University of Milan) and of the Chamber of Tax Lawyers in Milan, he carried out activities of publicist as collaborator with the magazine IPSOA "International Trade" and editorial advisor of the magazine "Trust & Trustee".

Has was professor in the "Postgraduate course in tax law for business” of Bocconi University, as well as speaker  in  several work shop on international themes, both in Italy and Switzerland.

In the past few years he has participated, as project manager, in the realization of different transnational operations of reorganization and sale on behalf of several Italian and Swiss SMEs and has carried out consulting activities for some Swiss Banks and Italian public companies.

He is member without operative powers of the Board of Directors of several Chinese and Swiss companies, one of which is a world leader in the automation of transport systems while another one is active in the production of electrical energy with hydroelectric power plants at low and high pressure.

Specialized in International Civil and Commercial law, he gives advisory to SMEs in international contracts, incorporation of branch and acquisition of companies; he deals with the protection of the assets of entrepreneurs and their families as well as in the care of the issues deriving from the generational transition, as well as giving  legal advice in companies reorganization and in  extraordinary operations both domestically and abroad.
